Dunstable - Round 3 2015

Dunstable Swimming Club got the 3rd leg of the National Arena League off to a fantastic start with a magnificent 4th place position in their West Midlands Three East Gala meaning 4th place overall in the league.  Held at the Hucknall Leisure Centre in Nottingham once again on 12th December 2015, DSC swimmers were on good form as they travelled north by coach once again for the final time.Competing against Etwall Eagles, Aylesbury & District, Lichfield, Wantage White Horse SC and Falcon SC who were the hosts, DSC were against some very tough competition.

DSC did not disappoint, and the whole squad worked really hard all night with the relays in particular being tremendously exciting to spectate.The atmosphere pool side was very much alive, and certainly the support from DSC parents as always were lively!

The points at the end of this 3rd gala were as follows;

DSC also celebrated some excellent new PB's. Swimmers of the gala went to Klaudia Sokowlowska and George Wilks who both made outstanding contributions to the gala. It has also been amazing to think that between Aylesbury, Dunstable and Wantage White Horse swimming clubs that we collectively clocked up over 2000 miles of travel to compete in this year's National Arena League.

Head Coach Tim Hutton said "A great top six finish for DSC in a very competitive national league, shows a great improvement and is testament to the swimmers hard work.  I absolutely love the National League competitions, as we always find the clubs new superstar and there were some truly outstanding performances across all three rounds.  The swimmers will now set their sights on the Bedfordshire County Championships which promises to be a great event".Thank you to all DSC swimmers that competed and did their best, for what is a high profile event.

Thank you also to the organisers and supporters that make this event so well organised and above all tremendously exciting.DSC look forward to competing in the National Arena Swimming League again in 2016.
